P308L: Contemporary Electronics

Contemporary Electronics is a one semester introduction to
analog and digital electronics. The construction of a printed
circuit board to measure an electron tunneling current
provides focus and continuity. Analog and digital data
collection using LabVIEW™ and an introduction to
LabVIEW's programming language are featured.

P308L: GTutorial

In 1988 the National Instruments Corporation created a novel, icon-driven, data-flow programming language called G embedded within a new programming environment called LabVIEW™ (Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workstation). An introduction to G is provided.

P161L: Visual E&M

Visual E&M is a one semester laboratory introduction to Electricity and Magnetism culminating with measurements of the charge-to-mass ratio of the electron. Communication, team work and critical thinking are enhanced by the structured environment of cooperative learning groups. Student role playing highlights their interactions.
